Holt United Youth FC is pleased to announce a resumption of a limited form of ‘Covid-safe’ football training from 13th July for those managers and players able to return.
Holt United FC, in partnership with the Holt Playing field Association, has reviewed it’s training arrangements and established a Club Covid-19 Policy.
We will also issue an explanatory letter to club members which incorporates an approval form, for parents/guardians to authorise their children to join us in training.
Those managers, able to return, will contact their teams’ players shortly. We take the safety of all of the Holt Football family seriously. Notwithstanding this, we cannot wait to get everyone playing football again.
Holt United Youth FC planned to have an all-age girls training session within the FA’s Wildcat programme, up and running by now. The Covid-19 lock-down brought our implementation our to a temporary halt.
To progress we need some additional support from the Norfolk FA. This will not be available until July when we are hoping to re-energise our project. We are disappointed by this enforced delay as Holt United Youth FC is keen to open up football to the widest range of young people and at this time particularly wants to encourage young girls to experience the joy of the beautiful game. We aim to have this project up and running at the beginning of the next season in September.
If you wish to register an interest please contact our Wildcat Coach, Chloe, or Georgie, our Club Secretary. When we re-start our implementation programme we’ll have more to share.
Holt Under 11’s made it a hat-trick of cup wins after a hard-fought victory over their local rivals. The whole team played really well, from the goalkeeper through to the strikers and Holt took control from early on with a couple of goals. The second half had the opponents chasing the game and Holt capitalised with a couple more goals to put the game out of reach.
The team celebrated with the very best champagne (bottled fizzy water!), and then went on to the local pub for a victory meal and massive ice cream sundae, served in the cup itself!
